Our Society will celebrate our twentieth anniversary banquet at the Dynasty Century Palace Restaurant on September 20, 2013. The keynote speaker, Rick Daviss, Executive Director, Downtown Arena Project, City of Edmonton, will be presenting “From vacant lots to vibrant core: How an arena is changing Edmonton's downtown". We will also be holding our annual silent auction, with all proceeds collected going towards "Centre for Family Literacy". In Alberta 1 in 4 people do not have the literacy skills to function in our society. As such, the Centre for Family Literacy focuses on improving literacy in our community, starting in the family. They run a variety of programs from infant and early childhood, through to adult tutoring. Last year, we raised approximately $1,000 for "Edmonton Youth Emergency Shelter Society" charity. We respectfully request your help to make our celebration a success.

Here’s how you can help:
1) Please consider contributing an item to the silent auction. (All proceeds collected going towards "Centre for Family Literacy". You, your company, or both can donate the item. Some items that have sold well in our previous auctions are sport equipments, gift baskets, wine, holiday items, children’s items, food items, gift certificates, electronic equipment, artwork, and books.

2) Put your company’s name out there! Consider advertising your company's logo proudly displayed on all media screens at our event and on poster throughout the venue. The cost is $75 half a page / $150 full page.

3) Mark you calendar now and plan to attend the anniversary banquet on September 20, 2013. We encourage you to bring your friends and/or colleagues. We have many supporters such as yours sponsoring a table of 10 for $350 that puts you on the Bronze Sponsor List. Individual tickets are also available for $35 each.

All contributors are recognized at the event for their support. If you are able to make a donation (prize or cash) toward our event, please contact one of the executives and we arrange to have your contributions picked up.
